Help at guitar progress?!?

Your doing fine for a beginner. Like you said, everybody learns at their own pace. You could try some easy songs which involve power chords and slow, easy, solos. Try teen spirit by Nirvana, almost all Weezer songs are easy, just pick a song you like, and practice that, but don't forget to learn theory as you go to be able to solo over, and compose your own songs.
