What happens at the end of Virtual Villagers The Lost Children?

I have been waiting days for something to happen at the end of vv2, but somehow after banging the gong for ages nothing is happening whatsoever! I need to know what happens, and how to make it work. I am not interested in people saying: "It's better is you do it yourself." Because it isn't. I need some answers. Please... Thanks if you can answer.
