URGH tampons vs pads an old one.?

im pretty young. under 16 over 10. i think i'll get my period soon enough. I'm terrified yet excited. I can't decide whether to use a pad or tampons!! and this is super sucky. cuz my mother wants pads. and im not sure. i just found that hole u gotta put the tampon in. pads gross me out b/c wen u actually get it and it flows er down. and u feel it. i think it'll be weird. and tampons. i'm worried about the thing being stuck. which usually doesn't happen at all. but still.
